South Coast Plaza Private Events

For better or for worse, the millennial generation has economically shaped how we travel, communicate, and shop today. In fact, I know people that religiously shops only online (via Amazon) when it comes to clothes, dresses, foods, drinks, (and heck… even toilet paper) for their everyday lives! It’s just an idea of convenience over hassle that resonates for everyone in this generation.

Thus, it’s so refreshing when I see tangible events like this unfold…

South Coast Plaza 50th Anniversary Fashion Show

To give you a brief background, South Coast Plaza is the premier shopping destination located in Orange County, California. It’s the largest luxury mall in the West Coast and people travel (esp. the Asian market) from around the world just to come here to do some major retail therapy

250+ boutiques… that’s a lot of shopping

Once in awhile, South Coast Plaza Access Lounge  will send out private invites for events to market and socialize with its shopping consumers. In short, they are very, very, very fun.

By all means, we’re no fashionistas, but it’s super fun to see the newest fashion collections through the lens of its luxury brands.

This is totally better than online shopping.

To make things even more entertaining, they host an after-party featuring giveaways from other retails after the fashion show.

Overall, this event was a great way to connect with the frequent shoppers at South Coast Plaza. Just like an airline offering loyalty miles to its traveling members, it’s nice to see a mall also rewarding its consumers with these creative “First Class” experiences.

My only complaint is that these events don’t happen often enough…

Oh well, until next time… we’ll just “complimentary” window shop at South Coast Plaza.
