Both equally pricey and both extremely rare to find award bookings in the winter season.
Booking
Similar to Aspen, we successfully leveraged Marriott Vacation Club points to book this property. Since this Ritz Carlton Club is partnered with MVC, you can use your allotted deed to reserve this ultra-luxury timeshare property. Like Aspen, availabilities are quite scarce.
The main difference is that this Vail property participates in the Marriott Bonvoy program. So unlike Aspen where you would have to rely on third parties (i.e. RedWeek) to book the stay, you can directly book it on the Marriott website. That being said, it’s still ludicrously expensive. For example, the lowest price for the winter season hovers at $5000+ USD for a three night stay.

At $130 USD/bottle, this is by far probably the most generous welcome wine gift we have ever received. Ok maybe I’ll have this over the snow lion instead.
Two Bedroom Residence
Similar to Aspen, this two bedroom residence span at over 1500+ sq-ft that features a full kitchen and living room. This Colorado residence is bigger than most people’s apartments in California.
The two primary bedrooms are equally large with a full sized jacuzzi tub + shower.
There’s even an entertainment den area for movie night viewings.
Lifestyle
What makes this residence special is just how fully loaded it is. Any kitchen appliance you can think of is already provided in the room.
Missing olive oil? Need a cutting board? Missing garlic? Need rosemary? Need sea salt? Need red pepper? Need chili powder? Need a waffle maker? Missing a vanilla extract?! Let’s add a dash of cayenne & basil too?
No problem, it’s just a phone call away
All this makes cooking nights extremely convenient and fun.
If you’re not in the mood to cook, there’s plentiful of food downstairs at the Ritz Carlton Club.
Location
Unlike Ritz Carlton Club Residence Aspen where the ski slopes is right outside your room, you need to take a short shuttle to the Vail slopes. Shuttle? I know… the horror
The upside is that the town is a lot more lively and filled with activities such as taking the Gondola lifts up the Vail mountains
Up there, we all had a blast playing with the fluffy snow.

Activities
The Ritz Residence also has a lot of activities to cap off the night such as making S’mores by its fireplace.
Or complimentary local wine and cheese night by the lobby lounge.
Imagine starting the day the next morning sipping hot tea by the pool and hot tub with postcard views of the snow mountain backdrop.
Or even go sledding at one of its nearby hills!
Overall, the Ritz Carlton Residence Club in Vail is a first class stay. Though the prime real estate location is not directly right at the slopes like Aspen, this residence provides the complete package in just about every aspect of your experience. Not to mention, one of the most generous welcome wine amenity gifts we’ve ever received!
This Ritz soars in service and all the staff here genuinely want to make sure your residence is like “your home away from your home”. Award bookings are scarce, but if you can snatch availability or swing the $$$$ somehow, this is another Winter Wonderland that should not be missed.
