Soori Bali Indonesia

Set along the edge of Indian Ocean, there’s a secluded sanctuary that’s meant to escape from the hustle and bustle of life. After three nights partying at W Bali, our family flipped the energy to stay at the Soori Bali Indonesia.

Transportation

The hotel’s location is its own strength and weakness. It is purposely placed in the middle of nowhere on the southwest edge on the Bali island. Nevertheless, the hotel have a fleet of high end cars that whisks you to/away from the Bali DPS airport.

Booking

This stay was sponsored by yours truly Chai Bear World’s bro. In terms of points, choices are quite limited since it only participates in the Leading Hotels of the World group. A fun fact about Soori Bali is that it used to be part of the Hyatt portfolio called the Alila Villas Soori. Notably, he booked the room that’s called the “Four Bedroom Residence”

Four Bedroom Residence

This stay really reminds me of Thailand. Upon entering, I get the Six Senses Yao Noi, Conrad Koh Samui, and Four Seasons Koh Samui vibes. This is the main living room in the master that overlooks a private residence pool.

Let’s do the rich people laugh

muahahahhaha

This rich villa has two additional guest bedrooms on the pool floor — one with a queen sized bed and the other with two twins.

Downstairs there’s a full kitchen with dining and another living room. Chai Bear World’s dad spent a lot of time watching Chinese KTV singing shows here. There was one breakfast where the hotel’s kitchen prepared a wealth of takeout boxes in our dining room.

Volcanic Beachfront Pool

The main highlight was the beachfront pool where it situates right at the edge of the Bali volcanic black sand coast.

You can literally hop out of the infinity pool and run barefoot onto the beach.

Overall, Soori Bali was a lovely family bonding retreat. It’s an escape that disconnects you from the digital chaos of reality and zens you into the simple joys of life. Eating satay while hearing the ocean breeze… learning how to traditional dance with the Indonesian locals…

That’s the beauty of turning 40… you have adult money to create experiences in making you feel like a kid again 😘
