Perched within its island, the Four Seasons Koh Samui immerses you in its lush tropical environment while bathing you in rich amenities. It is by far the most luxurious resort on the island — and the price usually commands it so.
No way around this. Since this property doesn’t have its own loyalty program, the best way to book this is through cash. With Thailand officially reopened, the prices in May 2022 are eye gouging. Including resort taxes/fees, an entry pool villa starts at 40,000 baht per night, which is well over $1000 USD.
To help with the price, you can book it via AMEX Fine Hotel & Resorts with your Amex Platinum card to receive additional benefits like daily complimentary breakfast for two, $100 spa credit, guaranteed late check-out, and room tier upgrade.
We got upgraded to the Premier One-Bedroom Pool Villa. At over 1100 sq-ft, the villa features the views of the islands surrounding the Gulf of Thailand. Since the villas are so spread out, it feels like it’s just you residing in the hotel.
For perspective, here’s an aerial shot of our room looking towards the island.
Here’s the villa bedroom.
and as you turn left, there’s a gigantic bathroom suite that has a nice view of your private pool.
The resort hosts its own beach.
and notably a spectacular private tennis club — it’s one of the most unique courts we have ever seen where it centers around the picturesque landscape of Koh Samui. We personally liked it so much that we came back everyday to play center court.
With cold bottled waters, racquets, tennis balls, cooling area, and cold towels already provided, we consider this one of the most breathtaking spots to game-set-match!
After perfecting your tennis stroke, we go on top of the restaurant for dinner, which sits atop on a hillside. It offers a gorgeous serene sunset view with the Four Seasons Resort in the backdrop.
Breakfasts are just as pretty.
Overall, Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui lives up to its luxurious expectation(s). Whether it’s chilling at its beach or taking a couple swings at the tennis private club or just dipping in your infinity pool in your own room, the hotel seamlessly integrates its polished hospitality with its nature surroundings.
Honestly, this $$$$ stay felt more of a honeymoon. For the right occasion, this can be a splurge that’s well worth the memories.
