The White Lotus Season 3 Thailand

HBO’s wildly anticipated series The White Lotus is a travel satire that centers around a Four Seasons hotel. Notably, this season is filmed at the Four Seasons Koh Samui, which we had the privilege in staying couple years ago. It’s crazy to see actresses like Lisa (from Blackpink) play as the concierge at the exact same hotel.

Booking

Since its film destination announcement, rates has skyrocketed to the moon. On average, a normal villa can cost easily north of $1000-$2000 USD/night. You can buy a lifetime of mango sticky rice and pad thais for that price…

Alternatively, you can stay at the Ritz Carlton Koh Samui with Marriott points, which kind of have a Four Seasons villa vibe without smashing your wallet into pieces.

For Hilton points, book the Conrad Koh Samui, which has the secluded island views without filing Chapter 11.

Experience

This hotel is perched cliffside that looks like a postcard when you check-in.

We got upgraded to the Island Ocean Pool Villa, which has a stunning panoramic view of the hotel and islands. Instagram influencer not included.

Every morning, imagine eating breakfast with this view.

Every afternoon, imagine playing tennis with this grass court

Every night, imagine watching this sunset

Overall, it’s exciting to see a HBO series film at a hotel we visited. Thailand is consistently one of the best destinations in the world and the Four Seasons Koh Samui is no exception. Its meteoric rise in popularity has made the experience unaffordable for most visitors. Luckily, there are a lot more amazing hotels you can book with points. For a trip down memory lane, here’s the full review.

  1. Koh Samui is definitely for farang. Not particularly exciting. BKK air monopoly with budget style flights to the open air airport with odd food alleys.

    1. Yes, Bangkok Airways is the exclusive airline for USM since it owns the airport. It’s definitely pricier than other Thai islands (i.e. Phuket) since it’s harder to get to. Bangkok Airways adds its network to oneworld’s Global Explorer, which can help with mileage earnings and redemptions.
