Rimowa Airline Amenity Kits Collection

Second to rubber duckies on Lufthansa, one of my favorite nerdy things to do when I travel was collecting fancy amenity kits. While no longer offered, what ranked at the top was when the airline collaborated with Rimowa when you flew selected Business/First Class routes.

EVA Air

One of the most generous airline that used to give out Rimowa amenity kits was EVA Air. Fun fact, you would only get it if your flight originated from Taiwan. If you fly to Taiwan, you will get a secondary brand that is not Rimowa. It’s fun to wear their pajamas and pair it with your own Rimowa carry-on 😘

The final edition of the Rimowa x EVA was the Carmona Red. For the lucky flyers that flew EVA Airways Business Class in 2019, you got the last one.

Thai Airways

For a limited run, Thai Airways sometimes would gift Rimowas too, but the difference was you had to fly First Class. Their final edition color was their candy yellow, which we were lucky to get back when they still flew the A380.

Overall, this is a fun throwback to a travel collectible that is discontinued. Rimowa has stopped gifting these to Business/First Class passengers and decided to sell their own at eye-gouging prices. Each amenity cross-body case is over $1000 USD!

Still a fun memory nonetheless 🙂
