Four Seasons Bangkok Thailand

Bangkok is a melting pot of exotic delights. It’s a city deeply rooted in its traditions that’s filled with culinary and hospitality culture. It’s arguably the most visited destination in Southeast Asia if not the world. Like Taiwan, it’s also a place I’m lucky enough to call my 2nd home.

Booking

Like the Mandarin Oriental, the Four Seasons Bangkok is scenically situated along the Chao Phraya River. For a night, we decided to do a staycation and see how it stacks up to all the luxury hotels in the city. For status perks, it’s best to book with AMEX Fine Hotel & Resorts for benefits such as guaranteed 4pm checkout and free breakfast.

That being said, it’s good to check with Four Seasons directly. Sometimes they have cheaper promo rates for the same booking date. For example, currently there’s an “Advance Purchase” option that’s 25% off.

Experience

With the vibes straight out of the White Lotus, you can arrive at the hotel via boat. The complimentary transportation is partnered with the Capella Bangkok.

The amount of staff to assist us was astounding. There was a 4:1 ratio of staff to us. After check-in, they took our luggage and personally escorted us to our room.

It’s a 538 sq-ft deluxe space with an accent bathtub being the centerpiece.

The hotel is partnered with the Swedish designer brand Byredo, which definitely ups the fanciness feel of the room.

The hotel thoughtfully decked out the bedroom with balloons to celebrate our birthday, which was appreciated. The surprise balloons kinda reminds me of our stay at the Ritz Carlton Hong Kong.

The location and design of the pool is noticeably better than the Mandarin Oriental. With the weather being so nice, we found ourselves chilling by the pool for most of the day.

Around dinner, there’s a cultural show which is a Thai dance that’s a creative way to feature the Four Seasons Bangkok destination. It’s interactive and especially a fun learning experience for kids.

Breakfast is a culinary delight featuring a feast of Western and Southeast Asian foods. We were so full that we could barely eat lunch.

Overall, the Four Seasons Bangkok is a fantastic option for a luxury hotel in the city. It’s warm design and attentive service makes this accommodation feel like the perfect home away from home in the city’s urban jungle. The creative cues such as its traditional dance is appreciated and is a great cultural way to show how awesome Thailand is as a destination.
