Happy Birthday Miki!!! Yours truly beauty queen has traveled around the sun today. To celebrate, we’ll feature her most recent flight, which happens to be her absolute favorite way to fly across the world. Konichiwa, welcome aboard to Japan Airlines New First Class.
Booking
Similar to its launch last year, this new plane is consistently very hard to book with miles. Award availabilities are extremely rare, but seat patterns tend to be best with its partner via Asia miles. For one way, it’s 135,000 miles/passenger
A creative way to book is with its new partner via JetBlue. Interestingly, two additional seats for me and Chloe were available on Miki’s exact flight thru this program, but it costs a whopping 185,000 miles/passenger. Our points doesn’t magically grow on trees, so I decided it was better for Miki to enjoy this birthday flight solo… 😘
Haneda
What’s really cool about this specific route is that it departs from Japan (instead of to Japan). Unlike New York, you get the complete royal Japanese experience. As soon as you step into Haneda, someone proactively takes your luggage and whisk you away from the airport noise into its special First Class check-in room.

You then go through a secret corridor past security and enter the Japan Airlines First Class lounge. Right away, you notice the lounge has its dedicated sushi bar, which Miki loves.

If you want to roam around, there’s a special art gallery called the Red Suite featuring the history of Japan Airlines. Inside, there’s a shoe shining service. Yes… even your shoes are flying First Class.

For more details on the lounge, welcome to check the full review here.
Experience
It’s time to fly across the world. Strategically, best seats tend to be 1A or 2K since it connects to the middle suites. Welcome aboard to the Japan Airlines A350-1000 First Class

The biggest bonus in departing from Japan is that you get treated to the Salon Le Mesnil Blanc de Blancs (Cuvée S). It’s famous in the travel industry for being the most expensive champagne ($1299.99/bottle) served in First Class.

This fine champagne is paired with its exquisite omakase that’s always a pleasure to feast. Since Miki’s first JAL flight almost a decade ago, it’s been her favorite way to dine in the sky 🤤

Miki’s obsession on this flight is its 43″ movie theatre screen that notably has her favorite oppas featured in its infotainment. For the whole 12 hours, she had her favorite oppas (not Paul Chai) on repeat ’til sunrise after she changed into the JAL’s pajamas…

Overall, Japan Airlines First Class is easily one of the best flight experience you can ever have. Its high end offerings from its spacious suites to its limitless omakases to Miki’s oppas on the big screen makes this her favorite way to fly across the world. And of course, the attentive JAL friendly service.

A great flight to celebrate traveling around the sun. Birthday next level.
