Arrive

Humble House Taipei

Across the street from W Taipei, this boutique 台北艾麗酒店 joined the Hilton Curio Collection making it an exciting addition to its family portfolio in Taiwan. The idea of staying here swam across (pun intended) my mind during my very short 台北 trip.

Booking

Standard award rates are competitively priced hovering at only 45k-50k/night for standard rooms, which is cheap considering how inflated Hilton points tend to be.

To make it even better, I noticed the cash rates was nice too. After conversion to USD, the stay per night was less than $200 USD. Thus for this booking, I decided to book cash (instead of points) for this stay.

Jingyu Premium Room

The hotel proactively upgraded our arrival to the Jingyu Premium Room, which is the corner room that partially faces Taipei 101 at the hotel. Most importantly the hotel courteously gave the room to me at 10:30am, which is super generous considering check-in starts at 3:00pm. This almost made me feel I had a BOGO stay for two days.

The vanity and the large bathroom was the highlight in this corner room.

Rooftop Pool

This might just be the best rooftop pool in the city. Just look at this epic view. Almost looks like an AI generated green screen image.

Imagine swimming here at midnight for NYE

Overall, it puts a big smile to my face every time I swing by this nostalgic city. Humble House Taipei proactively upgrading my room and gifting a super early check-in made my transition to Asia time zone a lot easier than anticipated. Jumping into this epic pool (multiple times) automatically cures any jet lags. Trust me if you’re a Hilton status member, definitely put this boutique under your radar for a warm welcome to Taiwan.
