Disneyland Magic Key First Year

It’s no secret that Miki is passionate about anything Mickey Mouse. For the longest time, Magic Key sales were unavailable for new purchases. Then in Nov ’22, Mickey Mouse heard Miki’s wish and told Genie to grant us the “Believe Key” to its kingdom. Her face lit up like she got engaged all over again…

With our Magic Key renewal just around the corner, here’s a look-back for fun in our first year with our annual pass.

Believe Key

This park is definitely priced like its the First Class of theme parks. At $1099 (now $1249) per person, the cost def gets wildly stacked for families. For Miki & Chloe, it’s more than worth it since they go almost every weekend.

To put into perspective, Tier 5 one-day admission now prices at $200 USD/person. Since we go so much, the value per visit gets maximized with our annual pass. Applying girl math to the equation, the cost of the Believe Key in their eyes is pretty much free.

Minnie Mouse agrees with the girl math.

Oh geez, I’m totally outnumbered

THE PRINCESSES AGREE TOO

On rare occasions, we would use our magical “force” to empty out the park. That way we can do geeky daddy daughter photoshoots at Star Wars land.

She’s lucky to have a lot of friends and families that share the same Disney passion. Even Uncle Ben has the Believe Key too.

Time travels at lightspeed because next thing we know, holidays seem to be around the corner. Welcome back pumpkin season!

Overall, Disney Magic Key is an amazing annual program for locals that likes the world of Mickey Mouse. There are people all over the world that travels (flights, hotels, park-hopper tickets, restaurants, merchandise, etc.) just to spend a rare weekend here maybe once a year. For locals, it can be almost every weekend…

No surprise, we are renewing our Magic Keys. For those curious, this is what we’re planning to do for 2024 to adjust savings/cost:

  • Paul: Imagine Key ($499)
  • Chloe: Believe Key ($1249)
  • Miki: Inspire Key ($1649)

But hey, with girl math…. I guess it’s “free” 😀
