It’s rare to go the airport without flying! Yesterday, we were amongst the lucky few to check out the grand opening of the Delta SkyClub LAX. In conjunction with the launch, the brand new renovated Delta Terminal 3 has officially opened.
Here’s the new glitzy check-in area for Delta passengers. Behind spans a panoramic LED screens of check-in information.
Upstairs, here’s the brand new customs area, which includes separate lines for TSA-Pre and CLEAR passengers.
Right after security, you turn right and there was a bunch of decorated balloons to celebrate the new opening of the Delta SkyClub!
Spanning over 30,000 sq ft, this lounge is massive. Double the size of the American Airlines Flagship Lounge and almost triple the size of United Airlines Polaris Lounge at LAX.
Here’s the restroom and shower facilities.
Our favorite area is the panoramic outdoor deck that has tarmac views of the runway planes. You can chill and plane-spot here for hours. Here’s our personal favorite seat in the entire lounge.
For special occasions, you can purchase a bottle of Dom for 13,000 SkyMiles. Not a shabby way to enjoy some tarmac views. Can you spot the Lufthansa plane?
To celebrate the first day of opening, we were gifted a limited amenity gift that features postcards of various curated artists featured in the Delta Airlines SkyClub.
Overall, this is a massive improvement from what the Delta SkyClub was. If you’re flying Delta One or have an Amex Platinum card, this lounge is definitely worth arriving early to check it out.
